The Place
One of the poshest party venues on Long Island, Posh attracts
a dressed-to-the-nines, perfectly manicured clientele to its
Garden City Hotel location. If you can get over that intimidation
factor, enter the club for a night of heavy dancing and designer-drink
imbibing. The cavernous dance floor is packed with energetic
boogyers who gyrate professionally to the flashing lights and
pounding tunes emanating from the DJ booth. The music revolves
around KTU- and WLIR-type hits, featuring a mix of hip-hop,
house and straight dance. The coed bartending staff mixes up
drink specials with panache -- even former Survivor Kimmi Kappenberg
has prepared a few frozen concoctions behind the bar here.
