The Place
The place is popular on with Chelsea men and straight partyers
on various nights. Around there
is a large, sunken dance floor
that doubles as a gymnasium-style roller rink. The Crystal Room
above the front bar, with its backlit world map,
has a funky
network newsroom feel. A walled-off rear lounge, furnished with
flea market decor, is the perfect place to chat. A tented lounge off the dance floor is too dark and loud for comfort, and the main room's ceiling is so high that sometimes the music gets lost in the rafters.
