The Place
In 1989, Caffe on the Green acquired
control of the property, formerly the summer home of Rudolph
Valentino, and immediately began an extensive renovation over
the next two years. The new focus of our popular bar and lounge
area, with lavish use of rich mahogany and opulent oriental
carpeting has become a much sought after refuge accommodating
small private parties of up to 30 guests. The Caffe offers a range of services from small intimate parties
to grand affairs for all occasions with dining and dancing for
as many as 230 guests. Critics have recognized Caffe on the
Green as one of New York's premier restaurants. Tremendous energies
seek the freshest and finest quality ingredients - from brick-oven
breads to spectacular home-made desserts and coffees.  |

Insalata della Casa, Caesar Salad

Third Course: Veal Valentino:
Scaloppine of veal, artichokes, radicchio, mushrooms, and roasted
peppers served in a cognac sauce. Chicken Boscaiola: Grilled chicken breast with asparagus, mushrooms,
and sundried tomatoes, in a Madiera wine sauce served with herbed
potato puree.
