The Place

Less day spa, more co-op. The reception area is filled with fliers for local activities, health-related books, all-natural products (including the limited house line) and a stream of neighbors stopping in to say hello. Freshly-laundered towels and sheets are stacked in the hallways, and treatment rooms are casual and comfy. The staff is knowledgeable, relaxed and a far cry from the formal matrons of more traditional spas.

The Services

Home specializes in healing treatments with a holistic bent, preferring alternative therapies to frillier spa fare. Seven types of 75-minute facials treat specific skin issues with natural products and essential oils like neroli, frankincense, tea tree
and lemon, while the 105-minute Intensive Aromatherapy Facial heals stressed or neglected faces. Body services include seaweed wraps and scrubs, foot, hand and eye treatments, waxing and ear candling. Massage styles include Amma, Reiki, Swedish, Lympho-Circulatory and Hot Stone, with sessions booked for 75 minutes to ensure a full one-hour rub-down.
