The Place
The Gershwin Theater is owned by the Nederlander Organization.
When it opened in 1972 it was the first new Broadway theater
in 40 years. The Theater Hall of Fame is in the rotunda containing
the names of stage greatest incised on the walls. The theater
was renamed in 1983 in honor of George & Ira Gershwin.
