The Place
 One
of Broadway's newest legit houses is really its oldest: the
original New Amsterdam opened in 1903. Disney has brought this,
one of 42nd Street's jewels, back from the dead. Inside, the
overdone baroque decor from the days of the Ziegfeld Follies
has been lovingly returned to its former glory. In the lobby,
you'll be greeted by uniformed ticket takers who look like they
stepped out of a 1930s movie.
