Eat, drink & sin on the world famous strip of Hollywood & Vine! The Forbidden City is the perfect place for a night out on the town or a private function! Featuring 5 unique areas, 2 dance floors, 2 open air patios, 4 premium bars,
a full kitchen with Asian-fusion cuisine, plus VIP booths & beds for table reservations.

As far as Far East authenticity goes, this Hollywood party palace is more David Carradine than Bruce Lee. But it's no ancient Chinese secret that Hollywood Boulevard has replaced Sunset Boulevard as the place to party, thanks in part
to versatile venues like this supper club.

The black-wood-and-crimson interior is filled with stereotypical Asian ambience (hanging red lanterns, stone Buddhas and dragons, and more gold than Lil' John's mouth); the Chinese menu is unspectacular but moderately priced. A Zen-like lounge area on the first floor has comfy booths and a glitzy bar with bookend fish tanks, and the dining area converts into a cramped dance floor with hearty servings of hip-hop and rare grooves. It also opens up to two expansive open-air patios, where clubbers mingle, mack and light up underneath the Capitol Records building. Then there's the more upscale VIP/mezzanine area upstairs, where haughty naughtiness takes place on modernistic furnishings. Forbidden City has played host to high-profile parties from Stuff magazine and Toyota Scion, but usually draws a multi-culti mix of Urban-Outfitted twentysomethings and divorcees displaying cleavage.
