Considered the pioneer of comedy clubs
in Southern California, the Ice House has delivered laughs for more
than 30 years. Its legions of comedic veterans include Tim Allen,
Robin Williams and Steve Martin. The big names of today also continue
to frequent this favorite venue.
Judging from the entrance area to this place that’s tucked
away in a quiet section of Pasadena, you might never guess that
big name entertainers have been appearing here for decades. George
Carlin, the Smothers Brothers, Gallager, Dana Carvey and many others
have delighted audiences here. Be sure to inquire about the Annex
which regularly features many talented newcomers. Consider making
reservations for dinner and then attending the show. The menu has
all your favorites like New York Steak, Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp.
A two-drink minimum is enforced for all comedy show guests.
With brass railings and mirrored walls, the interior of the club
has an antique, parlor feel. The Comic's Restaurant is adjacent
to the showroom. The main room decor offers a simple approach: a
traditional brick wall, spray-painted Ice House logo and row seating.
The place has a full bar, a dining room and a patio/deck.
The Ice House also features The Annex, where you can enjoy up-and-coming
comedians in an intimate setting for $5-$11 a person, depending
on who is performing.
