The Second City, in partnership with the
Improv, opened a Training Center and Studio Theatre space in Los
Angeles in 1999. Located next door to the legendary stand-up club
on Melrose, this space features a Training Center, staffed by Second
City alumni, and a studio space that features a wide variety of
performances by students, alumni, and local performers.
The Second City Los Angeles Studio Theatre provides an environment
where both students and professionals can learn, explore, expand
and showcase their talents applying the distinctive Second City
style. Performances at the Studio Theater range from Second City
alumni productions to Training Center Graduates Greenhouse shows
to our training center performances.
The Second City Los Angeles Studio Theatre welcomes our theater
alumni to come and showcase their talents, experiment with new ideas
and continue to carry on our strong tradition of satire that has
shaped comedy for over 40 years.
