When you enter California Adventure under
a stylized Golden Gate Bridge flanked by two tiled murals representing
California's riches, you enter the essence of the state of California,
Disney style. Disney Imagineers traveled over the state while designing
California Adventure, distilling the Golden State into 55 acres,
skimming off the best and brightest parts to celebrate.
Allow about a day to see all the attractions at California Adventure.
If you buy a one-day ticket to either park, it's for that park only.
You can't combine California Adventure and Disneyland into the same
day. Multi-day tickets allow you to visit California Adventure and
Disneyland in the same day.
Disney Guest Relations is located on the left just after you enter
Disney's California Adventure. Here you can make restaurant reservations,
get California Adventure information and handle any other difficulties
you might have, including requesting a refund if you are dissatisfied.
Lockers are available to rent both outside and inside the California
Adventure gates. They're a great place to stow dry clothing, jackets,
snacks, and so forth so you don't have to carry them around all
day. Rentals are for the day only, so be sure to remember to pick
up your belongings as you leave.
How Do You Keep the Sun Shining? The sun sculpture in the Disney's
California Adventure entry plaza has a titanium coating that glows
in the sun. The problem is - it faces AWAY from our glowing star.
Undaunted, Imagineers designed a set of six computerized mirrors
that track the sun and focus its rays onto the sculpture, keeping
it sparkling as long as there's daylight.
