Rhenalt was born in New York City. He has been interested in electronic music since the late 80's. Going to the nightclubs in the 90's inspired him to start djing. Hearing the legendary DJ's helped him find his sound. He has performed in every major club in New York City. His international gigs have taken him to venues in Europe and Latin America. Rhenalt plays all different styles of house music. Rhenalt also works with big companies like Armani, Diesel and Adidas. He is currently looking for one of the companies to sponsor his DJ career

1. When did you decide to become a DJ and how long have you been doing this job
I decided around 1999 to actually take it seriously . I started djing year 2000

2. What kind of music do you play and why did you choose this particular music as opposed to another type? I play electro/tribal/progressive house music. I choose this type of music because it's the best to dance to, it's a lot more abstract than other types of music. It takes my spirit to other places than other types of music out there. It taps into the unknown parts of you of your brain that you don't use for the most part. . This type of music opens the other dormant of your mind that aren't being used.

3. What are the influences when you were growing up, musical and otherwise? How do these influences affect the music you choose to play today? Everything from rock to early hip hop. I just admired people that would do cutting edge art, whether it's painting ,sculptors,.movies,music etc. This probably why I like music that's not mainstream.

4. How have you seen music change during the years you have been a DJ? How do you decide what the public wants to hear? When I started djing about 7 years ago. I noticed Funky House and Trance was the thing. Drum and Bass was also become popular in the underground scene. Now It's more about More about the Electro House,Techno,Progressive house. The rock sound is influencing the types of music I mentioned before. You have to remember that djing is an art form. I like to see what's the new thing happening in the underground. If it works for me, I'll try to incorporate the new sound into what I'm currently playing. I think djing is about educating the crowd . I thinks it's you job as a dj to give you audience new sounds that they don't normally hear on the radio! It's about creating a journey!!!!

5. How do you decide what the future trends in music are? Have you ever played new music that an audience didn't’ respond to? For mainstream music it;a the big corporations that decides that. For the under ground it's about the dj. The way the music changes in the future is the collective thought we all have. Did u ever come up with an idea that a few other people came up with at the same time. I think that how the music makes shifts.
