The “clear, sticky liquid” you describe is called pre-ejaculatory fluid. Just as a woman’s vagina gets “wet” when she is aroused, this fluid is the male body’s natural way of providing lubricant for sexual intercourse.

Research has shown that this fluid usually doesn’t contain any sperm, although once in a while it might. It does, however, transmit infections, so I urge you to use a condom at all times regardless of the low risk of pregnancy.

You have had unprotected sex before, which puts you at a higher risk of carrying an infection, so do your current girlfriend a favor and make sure you protect her from this risk every time you become intimate.

Bleeding orgasms
